Educator - Cannabis Retail Job Summary:
The Educator is exceptional at creating intentional, educational customer experiences and creating community by developing authentic relationships with our customers, determining their needs, and providing knowledgeable suggestions tailored to each individual.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner, providing accurate information on cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and their effects
- Offer tailored recommendations based on customer preferences or recreational goals, ensuring a personalized experience
- Support with completing Daily/Nightly tasks and duties within the store (sweeping, cleaning, etc)
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
- Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures (education, merchandising, cleanliness, security, checklists, etc)
- Ensure you are aware of all company communication, rollouts, directives and procedures
- Abide by all company policies and programs, ensuring compliance
- Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, provincial and municipal legislation
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Key Holders
Qualifications & Skills:
- CannSell Certification (Required)
- 19+ Years old (Required)
- Deep understanding of cannabis products, consumption methods, and effects, with a genuine passion for educating others about cannabis
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand and engaging manner
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups or one-on-one with customers
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a welcoming, informative, and positive experience
- Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
*Please Note: At this time we currently have 1-2 shifts per week to offer, during different periods hours may be more or less.*
Job Type: Part-time
