About the Clinic
Dr. Angela Fountain and Associates is an innovative psychological practice located in the City of Oshawa. The clinic provides services to children, adults, and families using a range of therapeutic approaches, including outdoor and experiential activities, activities of daily living, sandtray therapy, art and play therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and traditional office-based modalities.
Our practice operates from its own clinic building, which includes outdoor play, recreation and farm facilities, as well as a children’s treatment day camp. We are committed to providing compassionate, responsive, and creative care for clients and families.
About the Role
The Intake Coordinator is often the first point of contact for clients and families seeking mental health and psychological services. This role is ideal for someone who is warm, organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable supporting clients through the early stages of accessing care.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the first point of contact for new clients and families seeking services.
· Complete intake care coordinator calls and follow up with new clients in a professional and supportive manner.
· Screen and review intake applications to ensure required information is complete and accurate.
· Review and complete consent forms, clinic policies, and related documentation with clients.
· Prepare intake files for clinicians and ensure client information is organized and ready for review.
· Review intake clinician recommendations and referrals, then help connect clients with the appropriate services.
· Communicate clearly with clients, families, clinicians, and administrative team members.
· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with care and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills
· Experience in a mental health, psychology, healthcare, social services, or client service setting is an asset.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak with clients and families in a calm and compassionate manner.
· Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, forms, calls, and follow-ups while maintaining accuracy.
· Comfort working with confidential information and following privacy-related expectations.
· Proficiency with email, phone communication, scheduling systems, and basic office software.
· A professional, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is an in-person, part-time position for 3 days per week. There is an opportunity for the role to grow into additional hours and responsibilities as the clinic's needs evolve.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
