Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Transportation: Safety & Compliance Lead to oversee and ensure the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency of our transportation activities within the manufacturing sector. This role involves leading safety initiatives, conducting training and development programs, and maintaining adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of transportation safety protocols, experience in manufacturing environments, and a passion for training others to uphold best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies related to transportation operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead safety audits and inspections of transportation equipment and personnel to identify potential hazards.
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on safety procedures, compliance standards, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with management to establish safety goals and continuously improve safety performance across transportation activities.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and emerging best practices in transportation safety and manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all transportation equipment is properly maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among all transportation staff through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or transportation industries with a focus on safety management.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in training & development, including designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-conscious environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and reporting.
- Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Relevant certifications in transportation safety or related fields are preferred but not required.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent communication skills.
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
