Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy and attention to detail
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on merchandise, and be able to ensure pretzels are fresh
- Maintain organized displays and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and organization
- Assist with technical sales or product demonstrations as needed to educate customers about features and benefits
- Ensure compliance with all store policies regarding cash handling, safety, and customer service standards
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred but not required
- Bilingual skills (English and additional languages) are a plus to serve a diverse customer base
- Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills to keep the workspace tidy and inventory well-maintained
- Experience in merchandising or technology sales is advantageous for supporting product demos and upselling efforts
