We currently hold multi-year contracts with BC Hydro’s distribution and transmission departments across Vancouver Island. At Adept, we promote a positive, team-focused culture and a commitment to excellence in every project.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform brush cutting (slashing) using chainsaws on steep slopes and uneven terrain.
- Operate chippers and assist with debris removal.
- Maintain physical fitness and endurance to safely perform demanding tasks.
- Follow and promote Adept, client, and industry safety policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service on-site.
- Work effectively as part of a team while taking initiative and responsibility for your tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid BC driver’s licence.
- Valid First Aid certification is an asset.
- Chainsaw training certificate is an asset.
- Experience with brushing and weeding in the silviculture or vegetation management industry is an asset.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and willingness to learn and progress.
- Self-motivated, physically fit, and able to handle high-endurance work.
Compensation
- Pay range: CA$27.00 – CA$35.00 per hour
- Optional overtime opportunities
Location / Travel Requirement
- In-person work may require travel across Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast, BC.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to reach designated marshal points or meeting locations.
- Potential shift rotations include Monday–Friday or 10 days on / 4 days off on Sunshine Coast.
