Job summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the quality engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems in line with IATF16949. The role is pivotal in continuous improvement activities pertaining to the quality function within the business and is critical in maintaining sound customer relationships.
Major responsibilities of position
· Front line responders to Customer Quality complaints. Ensuring that customer concerns are properly dealt with utilizing problem-solving tools and Corrective Actions (CA’s).
· Manage measurement issues including gauge design and methods, and production GR&R approval/analysis
· Perform annual GR&R, CP and FMEA reviews where required.
· PPAP preparation and submission, Product Engineering, Engineering changes, run at rate.
· Analyzing, documenting and reporting issues of customer returns. Ensure monthly all current service and OEM customers’ special requirement are up to date by forwarding latest revisions to Quality Facilitator.
Education, experience, skills
· Bachelors’ (or higher) degree in an engineering discipline or Technical College diploma (CET or similar) combined with work experience on the field of study
· A Minimum of 2 years quality assurance experience within automotive manufacturing
· Quality Engineering designation ASQ CQE or equivalent, and Six Sigma Green Belt designation
· Knowledge of die casting processes (or similar i.e. injection molding, stamping etc)
- Advanced knowledge of automotive quality systems IATF-16949 and standards.
- Project management knowledge to be on time and within budget.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
