Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Supervisor specializing in Modular Construction to lead our manufacturing operations. This position requires 8+ years of experience in construction or modular/residential or commercial construction.
Reporting to the Production Foreman, this position will ensure that modular components are fabricated efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Duties:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Assist the Production Foreman in developing daily and weekly production schedule.
- Track progress of modules through each station/trade.
- Monitor production timelines and report delays or bottlenecks.
- Update the production daily schedule pace chart.
- Ensure production team receive updated drawings and revisions.
- Coordinate shipping dates with Project manager to ensure units deliver on schedule.
- Coordinate material delivery to site with Lead hands and Shipping/Receiving team.
Manufacturing Support:
- Regularly walk the production floor to provide technical support and remove production obstacles.
- Coordinate with Design to resolve drawing discrepancies and manufacturing issues.
- Verify production is building to the latest approved drawings and revisions.
- Support first-builds and implementation of new products or processes.
- Supervise, lead, and support Lead Hands and production employees.
- Assign daily work activities and balance manpower across production areas.
- Monitor employee attendance and productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractors or temporary labor when required.
Material Coordination:
- Review manufacturing Bill of Material for completeness and manufacturability, and coordinate with Design and Procurement to resolve discrepancies before materials are ordered.
- Create Bill of Material of site package and coordinate with Procurement to supply.
- Track material availability required for each production stage.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for material delivery.
- Ensure materials are staged on the production floor before work begins.
- Monitor inventory shortages and notify the Production Foreman.
- Verify materials received match purchase orders and specifications.
- Arrange internal material transfers between departments if needed.
Communication & Coordination:
- Assist Production Foreman with communication between production, engineering, procurement, and quality control.
- Coordinate daily production huddle meetings and toolbox meetings.
- Provide status updates to project managers and management upon request.
- Communicate design changes or updates to production teams as directed by Production Foreman.
- Coordinate with project managers for module shipping schedules.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain production reports and dashboards.
- Record daily production output and pace chart.
- Ensure Lead Hands accurately track material usage.
Quality & Compliance Support:
- Coordinate with the quality team for inspections and approvals.
- Track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Work Standard Instructions (WSIs) and manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure production follows safety and compliance procedures.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in supervision within a modular construction or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of construction experience, including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and safety regulations specific to modular construction facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
