Our client is looking for a Machinist to oversee their machine shop in Chester, NS. The Machine Shop Supervisor plays a key role in managing daily operations, leading a skilled team of machinists, and ensuring production efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily machine shop operations and personnel.
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure on-time delivery of projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to machinists.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues.

Qualifications
- Red Seal Machinist certification or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of machining experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
- Strong expertise in CNC and manual machining operations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
