Position Overview:
Are you a proactive problem solver with a talent for maintenance work? We're looking for a versatile Maintenance Worker to play a crucial role in ensuring our properties are well maintained and functional. If you excel at identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, and performing a variety of repairs using power and hand tools, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment, structures, or items requiring repair and report findings.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs and solutions.
- Obtain contractor quotes for repairs or projects and present them to management for approval.
- Perform general repairs, including drywall, painting, door fixtures, and other building components, utilizing power and hand tools.
- Execute basic plumbing repairs.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Uphold safety and organization standards by cleaning and maintaining facilities.
- Order necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide general labor assistance and support team members as needed.
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned to support the maintenance team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role, demonstrating attention to detail and quality work.
- Proficiency in painting and other repair tasks, achieving professional results.
- Comfort working at heights and adherence to safety regulations.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Comprehensive understanding of building systems and maintenance processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina for manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Competence in using power and hand tools.
- Capability to work prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces as needed.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
- Flexibility for on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and clients.
