As we expand our operation, we are seeking a motivated part time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive full time Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee our accounts receivable functions. This role involves processing customer statements, monitoring payments, and ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send customer statements accurately and promptly
- Monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable, including following up on overdue accounts
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues
- Process payments, including Cheques, Credit Card transactions and electronic transfers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and review reports on accounts receivable status
- Collaborate with other accountants and departments to address customer inquiries and resolve issues
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related financial role
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
