Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team in providing exceptional customer service and high-quality beverages. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. This role involves preparing beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and cash handling
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Handle food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with opening or closing duties as assigned
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times during food preparation and serving
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations
- Experience with serving, food preparation, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to employment
