Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. We are a farming operation that has a commercial trucking division and a mechanics shop. We work on a mix of our own Ag and trucking equipment as well as customer equipment. This position offers hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting semi trucks, trailers, farm machinery, and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely on a wide range of equipment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain exposure to on and off road equipment.
Duties
- Support and preform scheduled maintenance on equipment
- troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Work alongside an on & off road road licenced mechanic
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to carry out repairs
- Provide own tools, and respect other mechanics tools
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Experience
- Experience working with on-road equipment, and/ or farm machinery is desirable
- No formal experience required; training will be provided for the right candidate eager to learn and grow within the company
- Apprentices welcome
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
