Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking delivery and warehouse associate. We deliver to clients throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities. This position needs a dedicated and careful person, who is able to lift and carry furniture, Ideally with commercial driving experience
Duties
-Safely load, transport and deliver pieces of antique furniture
- Load furniture following specific handling procedures
-Unload supplies etc. from incoming deliveries to Warehouse
- Follow delivery schedules and routes
-Inspect furniture before being returned to the client
- help inspect vehicles for mechanical problems and safety issues
- help maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Interact with customers in a professional manner
Requirements
Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
Delivery experience is an asset
must have 3+ years of Commercial Driving Experience
Valid G license
High school diploma or equivalent is an asset
Excellent communication and organization skills
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to inspect furniture for damages and imperfections
Ability to assemble large pieces of furniture that are shipped in parts for easier delivery
