Auto Damage Appraiser
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Damage Appraiser to inspect vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and work closely with customers, repair facilities, and insurance partners throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate has strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple files while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry estimating software such as Mitchell, or Audatex
- Identify structural, body, mechanical, and safety-related damage
- Communicate with customers, repair facilities, technicians, and insurance representatives regarding repairs and timelines
- Review supplements and approve additional repair operations when necessary
- Ensure estimates follow OEM repair procedures and industry standards
- Monitor repair progress and maintain accurate file documentation
- Negotiate repair costs and procedures when required
- Maintain cycle time targets and productivity expectations
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the claims and repair process
- Stay current on vehicle technology, materials, and repair methods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto body repair, collision estimating, or damage appraisal preferred
- Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques
- Experience using estimating platforms (Mitchell, Audatex, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- I-CAR or related industry certifications considered an asset

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
