Inside Sales Representative – Access Control & Security
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven, tech-savvy, and results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries, driving revenue by qualifying leads, generating technical quotes, and nurturing relationships with builders, developers and end-users.
The ideal candidate possesses a mix of strong communication skills and a baseline technical aptitude, enabling them to confidently discuss access control hardware, cloud-based management software, and integrated security solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Sales Execution
- Qualify inbound leads coming from existing clients, referrals, marketing campaigns, and website or phone inquiries.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand the customer’s security challenges, building layout, and system requirements.
- Present and articulate the value proposition of our access control products (e.g., controllers, readers, credentials, and software).
- Overcome objections and guide prospective clients through the sales pipeline to close low-to-mid-market deals.
2. Quoting & Technical Support
- Review architectural floor plans, takeoffs, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to create accurate product configurations.
- Generate and deliver comprehensive sales quotes and proposals using our design and quoting software.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to ensure complex configurations meet regional compliance and security standards.
3. Account Management & Territory Collaboration
- Maintain and upsell existing accounts by introducing new product features, software license renewals, and hardware upgrades.
- Manage and update the CRM diligently to ensure accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of inside sales, account management, or sales engineering experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in physical security, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, low-voltage electronics, or a B2B SaaS environment is highly preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software and standard office productivity suites (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace).
Key Competencies:
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy when managing parts lists, model numbers, and pricing tiers.
- Drive: A self-motivated attitude with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas/KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with industry-standard access control concepts (e.g., Wiegand, OSDP, IP-based controllers, mobile credentials).
- Experience selling to or working with security integrators, locksmiths, or electrical contractors.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
