Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayments or adhesives.
- Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and with precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation processes.
- Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper fitting of flooring materials.
- Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sealing, and trimming to achieve a professional appearance.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades to coordinate work schedules.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation as needed.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
