Medical Radiation Technologist (X- ray)
SouthMount Medical Imaging is a well-established Outpatient clinic in Hamilton, Ontario. We are owned and operated by the radiologists of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, who are also affiliated with McMaster University.
Southmount Medical Imaging is a patient-focused diagnostic imaging centre committed to delivering high-quality, timely, and compassionate care. We are seeking a qualified and motivated Medical Radiation Technologist (X- ray) to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Medical Radiation Technologist (X- ray) will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic examinations in accordance with CPSO, CMRITO, and applicable provincial standards, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
Key Qualifications:
- CAMRT certification
- Current registration with the CMRITO
- Maintain Current CPR certifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform X-ray procedures of high diagnostic quality in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards, and facility policies and procedures
- Maintain facility standards including but not limited to; procedures relating to safety, test performance, documentation, reporting, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Collect and verify patient history and information and obtain informed consent when required.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available and safe on each day of work.
- Maintain a safe work environment with strict adherence to infection prevention control protocols and all applicable regulations.
- Responsible for the care of patients and comfort within the scope of your practice.
- Establish positive professional relationships with referring clinicians, patients, and staff.
Preference and compensation will be based on ability/experience/certifications. Please indicate what specialized experience and what advanced certifications areas you can immediately work in.
Pay: $34.50-$44.50 per hour
