We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a large & established, industrial organization based in Coquitlam. This is a full‑time and permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate is highly accurate, organized, and a strong cultural fit, with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges as the Finance team continues to evolve.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience
- Exposure within construction/industrial industry required
- Proficiency in MS Suite and Sage 50
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in financial reporting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt priorities based on operational needs
- Reliable vehicle required
- Excellent communication skills: written & verbal
- References and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in the selection process
Role Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to manage high‑volume AP processing (300+ invoices per month) with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Matching purchase orders and following up on discrepancies
- Scan, upload, and enter AP invoices into job‑costing and accounting software
- Maintain accurate AP records and manage physical and electronic filing systems
- Process hourly employee timecards and support payroll activities
- Review and process employee expense reports and manage petty cash
- Perform credit card reconciliations and reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and trades, ensuring timely and accurate payments according to agreed terms
- Provide ad‑hoc support to the Finance Department as required
- Work closely with the Director of Finance and Staff Accountant on daily accounting operations
- Support future growth initiatives, including involvement in ERP system implementation
