Job Description
Solution Security Protection Services is seeking professional, dependable and qualified licensed Security Guards to join our team in the London, Ontario area.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous security experience in shopping malls, residential or community housing, licensed establishments, bars or similar high-contact environments. However, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols.
- Monitor entrances, exits, CCTV systems and assigned areas.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance.
- Enforce site rules and post orders.
- Assist with access control and trespass-related concerns.
- Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity reports.
- Contact emergency services and management when required.
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with clients, tenants, customers and members of the public.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during difficult situations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform regular patrols.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mall, retail, housing, residential, bar or licensed-establishment security.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Use-of-force or crisis-intervention training.
- De-escalation and mental-health awareness training.
- Smart Serve certification.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
