Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Skidsteer/Mini Excavator Operator and Landscaping Labourer to join our construction and landscaping team in. This full-time position involves operating heavy equipment, performing various landscaping tasks, and supporting site development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy machinery, a strong work ethic, and a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Operate skidsteer loaders, mini excavators, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety.
- Assist with excavation, grading, paving, and site preparation activities.
- Various Landscaping/hardscaping labor tasks
- Perform landscaping tasks including planting, soil preparation, mulching, and site cleanup.
- Support construction activities such as material movement, site leveling, and trenching.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with horizontal drilling and other specialized construction tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience with minimum 3 years experience mandatory operating heavy equipment such as skidsteers, excavators (including Caterpillar models), etc.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Ability to perform construction-related tasks with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations is a plus for transporting equipment or materials.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site safety protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials when required.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
