Senior TRUCK PLANNER & DISPATCHER

Global Carrier Canada Inc. is looking for an experienced Truck Planner & Dispatcher to join our operations team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in truck planning, dispatch, and Canada–USA trucking operations, with the ability to maximize fleet utilization while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in truck planning and dispatch
- Strong knowledge of Canada–USA trucking operations
- Experience with load boards, TMS, and dispatch software
- Ability to plan and optimize truck routes and schedules
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, and customer requirements simultaneously
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) and transportation regulations is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Plan and dispatch trucks to maximize fleet utilization and profitability
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and appointment scheduling
- Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and drivers
- Resolve operational issues and minimize service disruptions
- Work closely with drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure on-time performance
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and ensure compliance with company policies
