We are looking for an experienced Water Mitigation Tech.
We respond to water and fire related emergencies in residential homes, strata buildings and commercial properties throughout the Lower Mainland, and GVRD.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing communication and photographs to all project managers, and department managers of work performed and in a timely manner.
Extraction of water using truck mounts, portables, and sump pumps
Ability to determine category of water loss
Set up necessary drying equipment
Demolition of non-restorable materials
May be required to manipulate, block, or move contents
Clean and sanitizes structure
Monitor drying and adjust/remove equipment as required
Dealing with customers and clients during a difficult time
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Certified WRT from IICRC or equivalent
Superior customer service skills
Clean criminal record
Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driver abstract
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work alone and supervise a crew
Ability to lift industrial fans 30 - 110lbs, fans and dehumidifiers.
Knowledge of construction related building materials and understanding of construction.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Working knowledge of pressure washing as well as carpet cleaning

Physical work
PPE (including steel toe rubber boots, Tyvek suits and respirators) are available for use and, at times, are mandatory
Will often work in dirty and/or wet conditions
