Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring timely delivery of food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The position involves working closely with kitchen staff and serving guests to create memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist servers with meal delivery and refills as needed to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables, resetting for new guests, and sanitizing surfaces according to food safety standards
- Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when necessary, including plating and garnishing dishes
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and billing
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Assist with general restaurant cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Basic knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if required
- Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or barista duties is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
