Overview
At GrainsConnect Canada, we connect prairie growers to global markets through world-class grain handling facilities. We are seeking a Facility Operator Level 1 to join our Operations team.
This hands-on role is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and shipping grain while ensuring safe and efficient facility operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with growers, commercial truck drivers, and fellow operations team members.
Duties
As a Facility Operator Level 1, you will:
- Operate grain processing equipment including binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and grain storage operations.
- Receive, process, and ship grain safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to growers and commercial truck drivers.
- Collect grain samples for quality analysis and maintain sample records.
- Prepare shipping documentation and maintain accurate operational records.
- Record product quality, damages, shortages, and operational activities.
- Organize, maintain, and verify inventory.
- Assist with weighing, preparing, and loading railcars for shipment.
- Support maintenance and servicing of grain-handling equipment.
- Keep the facility and grounds clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical tasks involving bending and twisting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships.
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Valid driver's license

Pay: $21.50-$25.00 per hour
