Evolution Mechanical is a Canadian owned business. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Welder to join our team. We are hiring for a position in our shop in Edmonton, AB. This shift is 7 days on, 7 days off, 11 hour days. We pay overtime on this shift. Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding on diverse materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and equipment.
- Ensure all welding activities meet the required safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure welded components meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues to maintain consistent project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman certification in your trade from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in your trade, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to perform welding tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting.
