The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy duty equipment, automotive and automotive parts, as well as welding. We are willing to train the right individual who comes without that experience but who has a strong work ethic and aptitude to learn. A background or interest in agriculture, welding and heavy duty applications would be a benefit . This is a ideal position for a knowledgeable and energetic person, who also has a passion for automotive related projects. As a Parts Counter Representative, you will primarily be focused on helping customers with their parts questions, do-it-yourself projects and automotive/heavy duty parts needs with special attention to accuracy .
Duties will include:
· Perform sales functions in a business to business customer-facing environment
· Actively manage and grow pre-existing customer base and accounts
· Prospect and develop new, exciting business relationships
· Work with our company's database to find and sell parts to customers. You will be utilizing technical, mechanical and clerical skills to address parts requests and invoicing to customers
· Provide excellent customer service and automotive parts knowledge while meeting the needs of all telephone and walk-in customers
· Locate, order, pick and distribute parts
Help other team members provide outstanding service; Work towards continuous improvement; Communicate and work with other counter staff in a team environment.
Qualifications required:
· Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are required, as well as excellent customer service.
· Ability to identify a client need and provide them a solution
· Attention to Detail, Computer, telephone/listening skills
· Previous counter experience and excellent mechanical/automotive parts knowledge is an asset
· Background or interest in welding/automotive/heavy duty mechanical systems will be an asset
Some heavy lifting and travel will be required. Safety measures and considerations are in place given COVID-19.
Job Type: Full-time ; Will need to be available during the Hours of between 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 1 pm every second Saturday.
