Elma Steel & Equipment Ltd., a metal service centre, established in 1970 with locations in Listowel, Owen Sound and Cambridge. The company services the steel requirements for customers throughout Southwestern Ontario.
We have an immediate opening in the Welding Department at the Listowel branch for a full-time Welder for Structural Metal and Platework- MIG Welding
We are a CWB certified workplace.
We require an individual experienced in Fabricating and Fitting to join the team in the Welding Department. Experience in the range of 3-5 years preferred.

This position offers a wide variety of work in the welding bay and elsewhere in the warehouse.
The successful candidate will have specific skills and experience in the areas of:
- reading shop drawings
- ·assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures
- ·constructing patterns and templates
- laying out reference points and patterns
- · welding or bolting sections together
- · excellent mathematical skills
- · able to work independently and part of a team
- experience with other shop equipment, particularly cutting tools, such as band saw and chop saw
Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training is preferred, however
a candidate with equivalent experience and potential for the position will be considered.
Successful candidate must be able to obtain CWB certification.
