Job Overview
We are seeking a experienced dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and software. Prior experience with Dentrix systems is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of dental assisting. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a thorough knowledge of medical terminology related to dental care. This will be for maternity leave coverage with the potential to stay on afterwards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring sterilization standards are met
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions during visits
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a fast-paced dental practice
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix systems is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Certification or licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is required
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, is a plus

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
