Job Summary:
The Developmental Worker works hands on with Hope’s Home children with complex medical or behavioural needs, to help each child learn, grow, and reach their full potential. They build and maintain a warm, caring, trusting and responsive relationship with each child. By working closely with the Hope’s Home team and outside professionals, they help create and implement each child’s individualized program plan that supports the child’s developmental goals and objectives. This position reports to the Early Learning & Childcare Manager and does not have any direct reports.

Responsibilities:
- Provide active supervision to ensure each child’s safety, health, and well-being.
- Follow each child’s personal care plan, including meals, equipment, and routines.
- Support daily personal care needs such as dressing, feeding, hygiene, and toileting.
- Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans with input from families and professionals.
- Apply strategies and interventions to support observed behaviours.
- Implement and document activities aligned with each child’s Personal Program Plan (PPP) goals.
- Incorporate therapies and adaptive equipment into daily programming as directed.
- Promote inclusion and development through appropriate programming while maintaining ratios and supporting daily routines, including transportation.
Location: Prince Albert Early Learning & Childcare Centre
Term: June 22, 2026 - August 28, 2026/40 hrs. a week (Vacation Coverage)
Eligibility to Apply:
- is between 18 (Hope's Home standards) and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27*; and
- is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
