Fix Auto Erin Mills is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Collision Estimator / Repair Planner to join our Collision Centre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, developing repair plans, communicating with customers and insurance providers, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties
· Assess vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates while identifying opportunities to generate collision repair business.
· Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the repair process.
· Prepare and explain repair estimates and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
· Upload estimates to required insurance and rental car platforms for review and approval
· Capture and upload clear, detailed photos of vehicle damage and repairs
· Work closely with collision technicians to ensure repair plans are clearly communicated and repairs are completed efficiently
· Handle all appraisals, work authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties when dealing with the customer, striving to maintain and improve closing ratio for the company
· As required, develop and implement follow-up program on appraisals
· Create repair estimates for potential clients according to Fix Auto and insurance companies best practices/guidelines
· Familiarity with DRP Insurance programs
· Close out work orders using the appropriate software systems (Mitchell Repair Centre, Mitchell Connect, Audatex Qapter, Progi, PBS, True Claim AI)
· Actively seek value-add sales opportunities when inspecting the vehicle
· Deliver outstanding customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns when required
· Assist with administrative and operational tasks related to the collision department
Qualifications
· Previous experience as a vehicle appraiser, estimator or damage assessor (bodyshop or insurance experience preferred)
· Knowledge of auto body repair processes, parts and materials
· Familiarity with estimating software’s
· Previous experience with PBS (highly valued)
· Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
· Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to build relationships and generate business
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities/timelines

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
