Harbour Hills is a Hamilton-based ICI general contractor delivering commercial and multi-residential projects across the Greater Hamilton Area and Niagara Region. We're growing, and we're looking for a Project Manager who can own projects end-to-end - from early development through close-out - on builds ranging from $500K to $25M.
This is a role for an experienced PM who wants real ownership, direct access to leadership, and a pipeline of projects worth being proud of. If you've managed Ontario GC work and want your next step to come with autonomy and a team that has your back, let's talk.
Why Harbour Hills
- Competitive salary of $105,000–$115,000, plus extended health, dental, and vision coverage and paid time off
- Genuine ownership of your projects
- A strong, varied pipeline of commercial and multi-residential work
- A safety-first culture and modern tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Room to grow with a company that's scaling
What you'll do
You'll lead the full lifecycle of your projects - planning, budgeting, coordination, and delivery. Day to day, that means:
- Reviewing construction documents, developing accurate estimates and costing, coordinating tender packages, analyzing bids, and awarding and managing trade contracts and purchase orders
- Building and maintaining the baseline schedule, with two-week look-aheads at every progress meeting
- Owning the budget and change-order process, preparing and presenting monthly Project Cost Reports, and authorizing sub-trade and material payments with accurate cost coding
- Running course-of-construction meetings with trades, consultants, and owners, and keeping correspondence, RFI logs, and submittal logs current and distributed
- Leading on health and safety - setting the example, ensuring compliance with our H&S Program and Policy & Procedures Manual, and confirming permits, insurance, and bonding are in place
- Resolving contractual and technical issues with consultants and trades quickly and professionally, and managing deficiencies to closeout
- Working hand-in-hand with the Site Superintendent to set workplans and execute project goals
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing project staff
- Being the face of Harbour Hills to owners, architects, consultants, trades, and the public - and helping win new work through estimates, proposals, and presentations
What you bring
- 5+ years as a Project Manager in Ontario ICI construction (with prior coordinator experience), and a track record of delivering projects from $500K to $25M
- An engineering degree (Civil/Construction/Architectural) or a Construction Management diploma - or an equivalent mix of training and hands-on experience
- Strong command of construction methods, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
- Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) (or equivalent), Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- A safety-first mindset and a track record of running disciplined, compliant sites
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, and the organization to juggle competing deadlines
Assets (not required)
PMP or CAPM, Gold Seal, LEED Accreditation, or broader AutoCAD/Autodesk experience.
Working conditions
Based out of our Hamilton head office and on project sites across the Greater Hamilton Area and Niagara Region, with project-related travel within the GHA. Expect a construction site environment in all seasons.
