Job description:
Provide special handling of cargo as required/directed.
Drive and/or operate/utilize ground support equipment which includes tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs, aircraft ground power units, air passenger stairs & cargo dollies.
Load & offload cargo freighters
Perform aircraft marshalling and wing walking, includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing aircrafts.
Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of when found.
Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with the company and airline specific procedures and policies.
Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Report all incidents/accidents to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements.
Start times ranging from 8am - 1pm , 4-6 hour shifts (Monday-Thursday)
Paid training provided.
Have reliable transportation, outside of normal Metro Transit schedules.
MUST PROVIDE a criminal background check issued by local police.
MUST PROVIDE original birth certificate, which is needed for Transport Canada application.
MUST PROVIDE original valid passport, which is needed for Transport Canada application.
Hold a Transport Canada, Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) an asset.
Hold a Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP) an asset.
Hourly wage negotiable if holding relevant ramp experience
