Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team for a maternity leave coverage position. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post accounts payable batches
- Schedule payment dates and post supplier payments
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Complete credit card reconciliations, including Amex and Visa statements
- Prepare cheque runs and payment batches
- Enter supplier credits and adjustments
- Assist with month-end reconciliations
- Assist with supplier rebate tracking and reconciliations
- Complete weekly cash deposits and petty cash reconciliations
- Assist with rebill labour entries
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents
- Communicate with vendors, managers, and internal team members as required
Requirements:
- Previous accounts payable or accounting experience required
- Experience with US/CAD foreign exchange is a must
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
