Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Helper to join our dynamic construction team! Duties
- Assist with the preparation of work areas by cleaning surfaces and setting up tools and materials
- Handle hand tools such as trowels, levels, and cutters to support tile installation tasks
- Support the tile setters in laying tiles accurately according to blueprints and specifications
- Mix and apply grout, mortar, and caulking to ensure secure tile placement and finished surfaces
- Help with measuring spaces, reading blueprints, and marking layouts for precise tile placement
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly
- Support carpentry tasks related to flooring or subfloor preparation as needed
Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools commonly used in construction or tile work
- Basic knowledge of construction processes and flooring installation techniques
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Prior handyman or carpentry experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
