Blue Monkey Plumbing Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Service Plumber / Class B Gas Fitter to join our growing residential service team.
This is a key role for someone who is strong in both residential plumbing and gas fitting. We are expanding our gas services and need a capable, professional technician who can help us build that side of the business properly while continuing to deliver high-quality plumbing service to homeowners across West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Lions Bay, and the North Shore.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate is confident running residential service calls, diagnosing plumbing and gas issues, communicating clearly with homeowners, and completing work safely, cleanly, and to code.
This is not a gas-only role and not a construction-only role. We need someone who is comfortable with service plumbing, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and residential gas work.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues
- Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems
- Complete residential gas fitting work safely and to code
- Install and service gas lines for BBQs, ranges, dryers, fireplaces, water heaters, and tankless water heaters
- Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and gas system checks
- Read and interpret manufacturer specifications, installation manuals, and basic drawings
- Provide homeowners with clear explanations and professional recommendations
- Prepare accurate job notes, photos, and documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area
- Follow local codes, Technical Safety BC requirements, and company standards
- Help Blue Monkey Plumbing grow a reputable residential gas service division
Requirements
- Valid Class B Gas Fitter certification
- Strong residential service plumbing experience
- Red Seal plumbing certification preferred
- Valid BC driver’s licence
- Experience with residential gas piping and appliance connections
- Experience with water heaters and tankless water heaters preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Clean workmanship and attention to detail
- Professional communication with homeowners
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls properly
- Good understanding of safety procedures, permits, and code compliance

Pay
$50-$65 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and ability.
