Position Summary
We are seeking a patient-focused and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our clinic team. This role is heavily customer-service oriented and requires someone comfortable managing a high volume of phone communication throughout the day. You will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the overall flow of daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional customer service to all patients, visitors, and referring providers
- Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, including booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments
- Register patients efficiently and accurately during check-in and check-out
- Maintain patient records and ensure all required information is collected
- Work closely with cardiologists, technicians, and admin staff to support clinic workflow
- Prepare charts, update patient information, and assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, calm, and patient-friendly
- Follow clinic policies, privacy standards, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a medical or patient-based setting (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with EMR systems (required)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent phone etiquette and comfort being on the phone throughout most of the workday
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EMR systems is an asset
- Assets: familiarity with blood pressure equipment, Holter monitors, and ECG procedures
