Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled G Licence Delivery Driver to join our team in Etobicoke. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to handle freight efficiently.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Utilize forklift equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, performing basic automotive repairs when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist in managing inventory and organizing freight within the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid G- driver's license.
- Must be 23 years old.
- Previous experience in freight handling or logistics is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions.
