Job description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced truck driver with a Class 1 or Class 3 license for local work. The candidate will be responsible for the pick up of product and delivery to customer with a flat deck truck and Moffett and/or Dump Truck. Candidate must also oversee all functions and condition of vehicle and equipment, loading and unloading, pre-trip inspections and safety and security of cargo.
The Candidate Must Possess the Following:
- Minimum Class 3 License w/ air endorsement
- Minimum 2 years heavy truck driving experience
- Clean drivers abstract
Additional requirements and assets:
- Ensure safe transportation to the destination and respect delivery deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Forklift experience
- Ability to perform daily maintenance on vehicles
- Ability to complete paperwork effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of transport Canada tie down and safety regulations
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
- Mechanical knowledge
- Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized and safe state
