Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our soon to open bakery.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and freshness
Experience
- Must be able to be creative and develop menu items both permanent and seasonally. Incorporate seasonal flavors for some menu items.
- Must be very experienced with lamination as a lot of menu items will be utilizing this technique.
- Must have professional pastry experience for at least two years.
- Works well with people and friendly, collaborative.
- Must be personable, organized, reliable and good honest communication.
- Must be creative and able to think on your feet, able to adapt.
- Must be a good teacher, leader and open to feedback and changes
- Must handle the tracking of inventory and developing the production schedule and have experience doing so.
- Must be able to assist in hiring, developing and training staff.
- Takes pride in taste of the baked goods you produce as well as the presentation. Has passion for pastry
- Must be available Monday-Sunday, mornings and afternoons. It will be a part time position, 3-4 days a week with possibility of full time as we grow.
- Must live in Windsor or surrounding areas.
- Pay $27-$30 with experience.
- Must have food handler certification.
