Generally, this entails customer service, which involves receiving transportation requests, entering, generating, distributing and dispatching them, and then optimizing transportation according to a set method.
Computer-based customer service involves :
- Taking phone calls;
- Responding to needs and questions;
- Entering requests and notifying the necessary people of any changes;
- Confirming and updating needs;
- Monitoring daily operations and following established standards, procedures and methodologies;
- A set schedule during the day and early evening to cover operational demands 365 days a year.
