Shaganappi GM is looking for a motivated and experienced Journeyman Suspension / Reconditioning Technician to join our busy and well-established Service Department.
This is a rare opportunity to become part of the Shaganappi GM Service Team — a large GM dealership with a process-driven shop, outstanding management support, and a strong team environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, manages their time effectively, and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate must be a Journeyman Technician and Red Seal Mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to complete work accurately and efficiently. Experience with suspension, reconditioning, inspections, diagnostics, and repair work will be considered a strong asset.
What You’ll Do
- Perform mechanical inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Complete suspension and reconditioning work to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Identify required repairs and communicate findings clearly and professionally.
- Work efficiently in a process-driven shop environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and repair details.
- Follow all dealership processes, safety standards, and service procedures.
- Work independently while also supporting the overall success of the Service Department.
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman Technician ticket required.
- Red Seal Mechanic certification required.
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and repair skills.
- Experience with suspension and reconditioning work is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Team-focused attitude and willingness to support others.
- Strong English communication skills required for workplace communication, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s licence required.
Preferred Assets
- Out of Province Mechanical Inspection Licence.
- CVIP Licence.
- Willingness to obtain Out of Province and/or CVIP licensing if not already held.
