Job Summary
MJR Tree Service has been the sole service provider for the City of Nanaimo for over 4 years. We are currently seeking a skilled fulltime Climbing Arborist to join our team. The Arborist will be responsible for the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs on residential and commercial properties. We offer extended health and dental care benefits to our employees.
Potential Responsibilities
- Perform tree pruning, removals, and planting
- Operate bucket trucks and rigging equipment for tree work
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks
- Utilize GIS technology for mapping and tracking tree inventory
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in arboriculture and tree care
- Proficiency in bucket operation and rigging techniques
- Familiarity with operating bucket trucks for tree work
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices
- Experience with GIS software is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
