Laguerre Electric Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Year Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic residential and comercial electrical team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in electrical systems, providing a foundation for a successful career in the electrical trade. The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced electricians to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to various electrical projects. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction settings
- Learn to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for wiring, conduit bending, and other tasks
- Support the installation of low voltage systems and electrical components according to specifications
- Aid in reading and understanding blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of electrical plans
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency on-site
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical systems with a desire to learn more about Residential and commercial electrical work
- Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments is a plus
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams effectively
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring and electrical components is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various project requirements
