Position Overview
Ottawa PoolWorks is hiring qualified Lifeguards to supervise outdoor pool facilities during the summer season. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies when required. The role also includes routine pool maintenance and daily reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise swimmers and maintain a safe environment in and around the pool
- Respond to emergencies and perform rescues or administer first aid as required
- Enforce pool rules, policies, and safety regulations
- Conduct routine pool maintenance and water testing
- Maintain a clean and safe pool deck area
- Interact with patrons and clients in a professional manner
- Complete daily reports and required documentation
Required Qualifications
- Valid National Lifeguard – Pool Certification
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
