Split Shift | Monday to Friday

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Morning: 6:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- Afternoon: 1:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- This is a split-shift position.
- Additional hours are available during:
- Professional Development (Pro-D) Days
- Winter Break
- Spring Break
- Summer Camp
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for school-age children.
- Supervise children both at the centre and during outdoor activities and community outings.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, observations, incidents, and attendance.
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive guidance.
- Work independently with a group of up to 12 children while also collaborating effectively with the program team.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 hours of coursework related to child development (or equivalent as required for School Age Care).
- Valid First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one within one month of employment.
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence is considered an asset.
- Physically able to participate in active outdoor play and walk children to and from school when required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
