Northstar Auto Group is seeking a hands-on HSE Coordinator/Maintenance Coordinator to support our southern Alberta locations. This dual-role position is responsible for supporting our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs to ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained facilities while managing fixed expenses and ensuring contracts are up to date and maintained. This position will also support in the coordination of contractors with support from our general maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general building and property maintenance, repairs, and seasonal upkeep
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and supervise licensed contractors when required (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure facilities reflect a clean, professional image.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Health & Safety programs.
- Promote safe work practices, conduct inspections, assist with incident investigations, and support training initiatives.
- Work closely with management, employees, and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation.
What You Bring:
- Strong communication, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in general maintenance and/or health and safety coordination is an asset.
- Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday.
