Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read schematics. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment using industry-standard tools and techniques
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Weld, assemble, or disassemble parts as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Lift heavy components or parts safely in accordance with safety guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and services performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and addressing customer questions professionally
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
