We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and dedicated Dishwasher / Steward to join our award-winning kitchen brigade. In this role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring that our culinary team and service staff have the clean tools they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities of a Dishwasher / Steward:

Operate commercial dishwashing machinery safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer guidelines to wash plates, glassware, and cutlery.

Wash heavy culinary equipment manually, including pots, pans, sheet trays, and delicate chef knives, using proper multi-sink sanitization methods.

Restock paper towels and soap dispensers at all kitchen hand washing stations, staff bathrooms, and guest restrooms continuously throughout the shift.

Set up and break down the dish station daily, changing machine water frequently and keeping the immediate area clean and free of standing water.

Sort, stack, and restock clean dishes and kitchen tools to their designated storage areas quickly and accurately during high-volume services.

Manage kitchen waste disposal, including emptying garbage cans, compost bins, and recycling, while keeping the outdoor bin enclosure tidy.

Assist with light prep support when required, such as peeling vegetables or running heavy stockpots to storage coolers.

Maintain strict kitchen hygiene standards, including sweeping, mopping floors, washing mats, and executing nightly deep-cleaning checklists.
Education and Experience Requirements:

No formal experience required, though previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is considered an asset.

Food Safety Certification or a basic understanding of safe chemical handling procedures is a plus.
Technical and Professional Skill Requirements:

Ability to maintain a fast pace and stay organized under pressure during busy evening rushes.

Excellent time management to balance washing line equipment with guest plates seamlessly.

Strong attention to detail to spot unwashed grease or debris before items are restocked.

Excellent listening skills and the ability to follow verbal tasks from the leadership team.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move constantly for shifts lasting 8 to 10 hours.

Ability to lift and carry heavy dish racks or waste bins weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Capacity to work safely in hot, humid environments and handle chemicals while wearing proper protective gear.

Schedule & Availability:

Shift Times: 10:00 AM – 5 PM (Mornings) | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Afternoons) | 5PM - 12:30 AM (Evenings)

Work-Life Balance: 3–5 day workweek depending on business levels (26 to 38 hours per week).

Availability: Willing to work mornings, evenings and late-night closing shifts. We are closed Sundays!
