Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging Tour Guides (Walk) to lead visitors through our historic sites, museums, or outdoor attractions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge, and the ability to create memorable experiences for diverse audiences. Duties
- Lead guided walking tours, providing informative and engaging commentary about the site’s history, culture, or significance
- Interact with visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience
- Manage tour groups efficiently, maintaining time schedules and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Answer questions from guests and provide additional insights to enhance their understanding of the site
- Assist with visitor inquiries and provide directions or recommendations as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tour materials and equipment
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages visitor participation and enjoyment
Requirements
- Strong public speaking and communication skills with the ability to captivate an audience
- Experience in customer service, teaching, or guiding groups is preferred
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse visitors
- Excellent time management skills to keep tours on schedule
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage groups effectively and confidently
- Ability to work outdoors or in various weather conditions if applicable
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and engaging with people of all ages
- Prior experience in guiding, teaching, or related fields is a plus
