- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant deal making experience in either a business development or customer service role.
What you will be doing…
As a senior dispatch, your focus will be on assisting other dispatchers in the office. Dispatching carriers, onboarding new carriers, tracking loads on the road and assisting colleagues in the office. Your end-game is to establish, develop and retain partnerships with carriers.
More specifically, that means:
- Dispatching and assigning carriers to customers’ shipments to support the company and colleagues
- Managing Triple Star's carrier portfolio, including developing strong relationships and operational understandings, helping match carrier preferred lanes with freight
- Continually sourcing new carriers, developing strong relationships
- Proactively communicating shipment details to carriers and sharing information with the Triple Star team
- Working closely with management to effectively provide Triple Star's services to clients and carriers
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Able to follow instructions and work closely with management
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
- Effective listening and strong communication skills for interaction with drivers, customers, and company staff
- Previous experience using Load Boards
- Knowledge of multi-state geography
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment
- Experience using Windows applications and industry specific software
Schedule & Miscellanea
- The days and hours of work are Mon-Fri 830am to 4pm, Sat 9-12
- Position is 100% in office
- A company phone will be provided
